Windows XP users: Now that Windows XP is no longer supported by microsoft you may be wondering what that actually means. In short it means that Microsoft will no longer release updates for Windows XP which can leave your computer vulnerable to viruses and hackers. Therefore if you do not want to be at elevated risk of attack we recommend upgrading your computer to Windows 7 or 8. Depending on how old your computer is it may be able to run Windows 7 or 8, not all XP machines can run Windows 7 or 8 though. If you are unsure about whether or not your machine can run windows 7 or 8 you can bring it into the shop or give us a call and we can check for you.
Do note that not all programs that run on Windows XP run on Windows 7 or 8. So in the event of upgrading your system we may not be able to bring over all of your programs that you were running. In that case depending upon the program we may be able to recommend you a similar program to the one that you lost.
